ROOFTOP SWIMMING POOL, JESOLO / Expansion of the Hotel Tropical in Jesolo added a spectacular rooftop swimming pool with sun deck to the hotel.

However the most interesting aspect of this construction is that the bottom of the pool is the ceiling of the hotel owner’s apartment.
This engineering jewel was designed by the engineer Giorgio Lucchetta, with the collaboration of Drytech Engineering for the waterproofing.

The Drytech White Tank, which forms the swimming pool, is a single waterproof structure comprising 80 m² of floor slab and 60 m² of walls. Of particular interest is the waterproofing system used for delicate details such as the penetrations of the floor slab/ceiling.
